Earth and Space Science Final Project
Investigating Human Impact on Earth’s Systems
Essential Question:
How have humans impacted Earth's systems and what can be done to limit future impacts?
Standard HS-ESS3-4:
Evaluate or refine a technological solution that reduces impacts of human activities on natural systems.
Information
- Final Project Due Date: Friday June 9th
- If you are absent on the final project due date you must see the teacher the next school day or communicate by email.
- If your final project is not turned in during the class period it is due, you will NOT receive full credit as your project will not be able to be viewed by peers.
What is a system?
· A system is a set of components that work together or interact. § Example: A bicycle= a system (frame, wheels, pedals, brakes, and other components work together to make the bicycle a vehicle)
· Earth is a system=spheres. These spheres work together in very complex ways to make the Earth the place we know it today.
· Spheres/systems include: Atmosphere, Hydrosphere/Cryosphere, Geosphere, Biosphere
